    • The promotion commences 1 August 2018 and ends 31 December 2018.
    • The Promoter of this promotion is The Lion Match Company (Pty) Ltd.
    Participants
    • Any person participating in this promotion (“Promotion”) does so on acceptance of these terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”).
    • The Lion Match Company (Pty) Ltd and its subsidiaries are collectively referred to as the “Promoter” in respect of the Promotion for the purpose of these Terms and Conditions.
    • The Promotion will run from 1 August 2018 until 31 December 2018 after which date the Promotion will automatically lapse and no further entries will be accepted.
    • The Promotion is open to all consumers over the age of 18 residing within the Republic of South Africa, with the exclusion of the Promoter, its directors, members, partners, employees, agents or consultants and their spouses, life partners, parents, children, siblings, business partners or associates.
    • This Promotion is open to all persons residing in South Africa with a valid, FICA verified South African cell phone number.

    Main Reward
    • The Main Reward is a R10 000 cash prize.
    • There are 5 Main Rewards (cash prizes) being awarded during this promotion.
    • 1 Main Reward winner will be chosen via a random draw at the end of each month during the competition period.
    • The Main Reward will take between 7 and 14 working days to be awarded to winners.
    Secondary Reward
    • The Secondary Reward, the chance to win a share of R500 000 instant airtime.
    • The instant airtime will be awarded to winners in increments of R5,00.
    • Secondary Reward winners will be notified on the USSD that they have won and the pinless airtime will be automatically uploaded to the winner’s phone once they end the USSD session.
    • The Rewards cannot be redeemed for cash in part or in-full, is non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
    • Rewards cannot be exchanged for an alternative Reward and the decision is final; no negotiations will be entered into.

    Entry Details
    • Participants must purchase Lion Safety Matches from an authorized participating store.
    • Participants must then dial *120*0000# and follow the prompts to successfully enter.
    • USSD line is charged at R0.20 per 20 seconds.
    • Only one entry per purchase is allowed.
    • Participants must retain till slips as proof of purchase.
    • Secondary Reward entries are limited to 1 entry per phone number per day.
    • Participant’s numbers are eligible for 1 Secondary Reward win per phone number per week.
    • Incomplete entries will be considered invalid and will not be considered.

    General
    • All winners indemnify the Promoter, its advertising agencies, advisers, nominated agents, suppliers, affiliates, and/or associated companies against any and all claims of any nature whatsoever arising out of and/or from their participation in any way howsoever in this promotion including, as a result of any act or omission, whether as a result of negligence, misrepresentation, misconduct or otherwise on the part of the Promoters and/or use of the Prizes.
    • The Promoter, its affiliates and/or associated companies assume no liability whatsoever for any direct or indirect loss or damage arising from an entrant's participation in this promotional competition or for any loss or damage, howsoever arising.
    • The Promoter is not liable for any technical failure that may result in an entry not being successfully submitted.
    • Any Reward is accepted by a winner at his/her own risk and the Promoter is not liable, at any time, for any defect in the Reward.
    • The Promoter may require purchasers to complete and submit an information disclosure agreement and indemnification to enable the Promoter to ensure compliance with these Rules and the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.

    • By accepting the prize, the winners consent for the Promoter and its agents to publish their names and photographs in any advertising, promotional, print, point of sale, or public relations material, the nature and manner of such releases to be determined within the sole discretion of the Promoter.
    • The Promoter undertakes not to disclose any of the potential prize winner’s personal information, other than for the declared purpose.
    • Entrants to the competition are responsible for providing their correct personal details, and the Promoter will not be held liable should these details be incorrectly submitted.
